This past Tuesday, we had the pleasure of filming a short introduction video about ourselves and our business. The recording was produced by Goodfruit as part of the CSED cohort for Michigan small businesses making a meaningful impact in their communities. We will share the final video as soon as it is ready.

We also want to express our gratitude to Anastasia and Katie’s Coffee Shop in Livonia, MI, for generously providing their beautiful space for the recording session.

Anastasia and Katie’s Coffee Shop & Cafe opened in December 2019 and quickly became a cherished gathering place for both its employees and the broader community. The shop was founded with a clear and powerful mission: to create an inclusive environment where people with and without disabilities can work, grow, and contribute together. Team members receive training, onsite support, and a paycheck, all while serving their community with pride.

The cafe offers great coffee, a selection of non-coffee drinks, breakfast, lunch, and baked goods. Beyond being a local favorite, the shop also serves as an employment program of Mi Work Matters, the nonprofit behind this inspiring initiative.

Through the coffee shop and Mi Work Matters’ Employment Ambassadors advocacy program, the organization is helping businesses reimagine what inclusive hiring can look like and why it matters. The shop is named after the daughters of two of the nonprofit’s cofounders, Anastasia and Katie.
