Autumn Season Finds: Handmade Treasures from Inspiring Artists

A photo showing colorful red and yellow leaves on the background of blue sky

Fall is here in Michigan, and it’s truly one of the most magical times of the year. The trees turn golden, the air is crisp, and everything seems to slow down just a little. It’s also when many of us begin thinking about the upcoming holiday season.

In today’s fast-paced world, with everything at our fingertips through the internet and social media, fall reminds us to pause. It’s a season to savor; whether it’s hiking among colorful trails, baking a pie with fresh apples or pumpkins, or simply enjoying a warm candlelit evening at home.

This October, I’d love to share a collection of makers I’ve had the privilege to know through the The Nest Makers Future Fund. We’ve spent months learning, growing, and supporting each other as artisans and entrepreneurs. Each of these artists pours their heart into their craft, and their work reflects the care, creativity, and community spirit that handmade is all about.

If you’re looking for unique handmade gift ideas to treat yourself or your loved ones this season, take a moment to explore their creations. And if you’re ever near their local events or shops, I encourage you to stop by in person. You’ll be as impressed as I am.
