A few words on the optional features:
Snap Closure: Typically it helps to have a snap closure if you carry it in a backpack or handbag, as it prevents it from opening. However, if you plan to carry it with you in a pocket of your jacket, a snap may not be necessary and will add a little bulk.
Pen loop: The pen loop is convenient for keeping your pen handy next to your field note. How many times has it happened when we are ready to write down something, we could not find a pen! However, it does add some bulk to it. If you have another way to securely carry your pens, then the pen loop is not necessary. Please message me if you would like to omit the pen loop.
